Energetic Binds
Etheric cords are made of astral and etheric energy and connect two people’s subtle bodies. They stretch between two people very much like an umbilical cord. These connections can serve as a communication or transfer of energy between people. It does not matter how far away the other person is, since the cord is not a physical substance and distance is irrelevant, so it is still effective from the other side of the planet. Etheric Cords can be created between any two people or even groups of people that have emotional relationships. Friends, workmates, enemies can all have cords. These connections can be the source of an energy leaks or drain of our energy. Deep caring between people and even resentment and judgement can bind people together through etheric attachments. These cords are visible during meditation and those who have seen them remarked that they are generally dark in color.
Positive energy cords connect individuals to eachother for the mutual benefit of both parties. These cords exist in relationships between lovers, parents and children, siblings, close friends, long term co-workers, and anyone that you might feel a deep and positive connection with.
These positive energy cords may be connected at the heart space and energy will travel back and forth between the two individuals. Overall, the energy exchange is positive, loving, and supportive. There may be times where one individual needs more energy than another but overall there is a balance that exists, with the exception of parent and child relationships, where often the parent gives far more than they take with a child.
Positive energy cords that are nurtured keep the energy flowing between two individuals.
The flip side of positive energy cords is having negative cords of attachment. These cords do not feed you positive and loving energy but rather take it away from you. When there is a negative cord, it will syphon your energy and give it to the individual on the other end of the cord.
Your own energetic field is constantly interacting with everyone and everything around you. Protecting your energy everyday should be part of self care.

Etheric Energy Hooks
Hooks are formed when you allow other people to “hook” into your energy. One way others do this is by saying hurtful things. Past sexual partners can be a big drain on your energy through cords. Even strangers can create cords or hooks with you. Facebook is a great place to have strangers hooking into your energy.
It is possible for the aura to contain multiple energetic hooks, etheric tentacles or artificial implants. Sometimes these are placed there by negative entities or even toxic people who wish to control or manipulate us. We can also consent to these kinds of hooks by engaging in addictive or obsessive behaviors over a period of time. Abusive, needy, or unhealthy relationships can also create cords of attachment that create an imbalance of negative energy flow.
When it comes to cutting cords of attachment, it’s important to remember that the job isn’t finished once the cord is cut. When cutting the cord, you energetically release that person, place, object, belief, or past life, setting the intention that you no longer wish to be negatively affected by it. That being said, your physical bond with that entity may still exist. You might still see these people on a daily basis, have negative beliefs, or hang out in certain places. As a result, some of these cords may reappear, reestablishing your toxic attachments.
To avoid this, you must be prepared to do the real-life work that will emerge shortly after the cord-cutting session. After you’ve released these attachments spiritually, and so changed your own energy, you’ll attract situations, encounters, and circumstances that will allow you to release them physically as well
